PRESERVING AMERICAN HISTORY ONE BOARD AT A TIME.
ABOUT US

It all started when we decided to acquire livestock, horses in particular. After a few weeks of researching and looking at how much it would cost us to build, we found a free barn online in Hope Indiana. We never imagined this would be the first barn of many we would disassemble. Our thought was to take this barn down piece by piece, not damaging any wood, so we could relocate it to our ten-acre home. This seemed perfect to us, building a four-stall barn at a low cost, but then we realized the major business we fell into.

People we knew began to recognize the beauty of the wood we had salvaged and wanted some of their own. Selling this wood would be the start of a new business for us and from there we went to different barn wood stores around Chicago selling pieces by the board foot. As we went from store to store we saw all the beautiful handcrafted furniture and decor we could make from this hundred-year-old wood. We then jumped on the band wagon and started with signs made from the barn wood, as we got more creative we made dining room tables, coffee tables and large signs.

We now continue to make gorgeous pieces from reclaimed barn wood and have become very passionate at what we do. We are a two man/women crew that take pride in preserving the countless hours of challenging work that went into building old barns and houses. It is now our passion to save the history of these old buildings.
